About Our Practice

Dr. Karen Sahota became the owner of Juanita Village Eye Care in October 2015 after working with the previous owner for a year. She brings with her over a decade of experience in optometry and has a strong background in treating many medical ocular conditions. She has expertise and a special interest in pediatric vision and eye care. She is fluent in English and Punjabi.

Dr. Sahota grew up in the greater Vancouver, B.C. area. She received her Bachelor degree of Science from Simon Fraser University in B.C., Canada and then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She received the President’s Endowed Entrance Scholarship and was on the Dean’s List.

Dr. Sahota has been recognized by the Redmond Reporter newspaper as “Redmond’s Best Physician” in 2010,2011,2013 and 2015. Dr. Sahota was also recognized by the Kirkland Reporter newspaper as “Kirkland’s Best Physician” in 2016 and runner up in 2017; “Best Eye Care” in 2016 and 2017 and “Best Medical Center” in 2016 and runner up in 2017. She is an active member of Optometric Physicians of Washington and American Optometric Association. As an active member of the Redmond Lions Club, she believes in giving back to her community and has participated in numerous community vision screenings.

She lives in Kirkland with her family and in her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with them in the outdoors, playing with the family dog, and traveling.

Dr. Sahota’s mission is to provide superior vision care, effortless customer service and to educate patients on strategies to maintain ocular health and preserve vision. She looks forward to meeting you and your family.
